Welcome to The Ethereal Palette Museum
Located in the heart of Geneva, Switzerland, The Ethereal Palette Museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing masterpieces of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Founded in 1952 by renowned art collector, Isabelle Moreau, the museum's mission is to inspire and educate visitors about the profound impact of these art movements.
Our History
Isabelle Moreau's vision for the museum was to create a space where art lovers could experience the beauty and emotion of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist works in an intimate setting. Starting with her personal collection of paintings by Claude Monet and Edgar Degas, the museum has grown over the decades to include works by a diverse array of artists, from Pierre-Auguste Renoir to Vincent van Gogh. The museum's original building, a charming villa overlooking Lake Geneva, was expanded in 1980 to accommodate its growing collection and increasing visitor numbers.
In 2005, the museum underwent a major renovation, incorporating state-of-the-art climate control and lighting systems to ensure the long-term preservation of its artworks. The renovation also included the addition of a new education center, offering workshops and lectures for visitors of all ages. The Ethereal Palette Museum continues to be a vibrant cultural hub, attracting art enthusiasts from around the world.
